Some questions covered to stimulate listeners’ discussion:

Char advises his students, readers, and listeners to get out and really look at their community.  Have you done that? How does your community control and deliver its water to you, to other members of the public, to industry, to agriculture?

Have you seen differences in the weather patterns in your community?  Too much or too little? How has that affected water delivery, water control?

Are there dams in your community? What are they used for? Flood control? Hydroelectric power? Reservoirs? Why were they erected in the first place? Who benefits from them?

Who maintains the dams? Levees?  What condition are they in?

In Deep Dive-Water 2 Ryan Smith talked about controlling the flow of water from the dams to protect the ecosystems below the dam. Is that being done where you live?

How to we protect our communities and our water supplies at the same time?

Do we need to find new sources of water or use what we have differently?

What actions might we or others take to insure an adequate supply for people and the environment into the future
